Urg. I’d rather one of those guys than both of them, preferably Guentzel

I don't know how brutal of a trade this would be considering what pittsburgh gave yesterday up for Kasperi Kapanen> He's 24 years old, career 202GP he has 90 Points. Domi 25 years old , Career 375GP he has 251 points. And you thrown in victor mete 22 year old puck moving modern day d-man whose game is only getting better and a first round pick to boot. If anything Pittsburgh wins big here. Montreal can afford it because of there prospect pipeline, and 14 draft picks in the draft. I understand guentzel is one of there core guys, but that team is old and they need some young fresh legs to surround crosby and malkin.

Domi is a team cancer and the amount he's been shopped around and moved around within his teams speaks to that. Mete is fine. The pick is good.

Guentzel is the future of that franchise.

The Kapanen trade has no bearing on this deal.

Domi a cancer? He hasn't done a single thing in montreal to be deemed a cancer. He's a better Center than winger, Montreal strength is at C. There Coach Julien stated he's better utilized as a center. Phoenix is a nightmare organization and continue to be, so I really don't know what real player would want to be there. The Kapanen trade has every bearing on this deal, considering they could have had Domi for a cheaper price than what they gave. Guentzel is a very good player, but franchise player i don't think so. Your overvaluing him, playing with crosby and malkin

If you don't think Guentzel is that good then don't trade for him.

If you think Domi is better than the rest of the league does then keep him and trade someone they want. Teams have shown over and over they don't want Domi.

And no the Kapanen deal does not matter because we cannot speak logically about Rutherford giving away all his assets for nothing. That deal was ridiculous and expecting more of those isn't feasible.
