Lol getting Staal back would be the perfect Jim Rutherford nostalgia move.

Columbus is hunting for a 2C, or at least a no-doubt top-6 forward. Bjugstad and Aston-Reese don't move the needle. Plus, you're talking about making two significant trades within the Metro. Don't see that coming to fruition.

Put Kapanen with your smartest hockey mind and passer (Crosby) to get the most out of him in a top 6 role. Fast as the wind, but ideally needs others to create the play offensively. Can create offence on his own though, he did so on the 3rd line often, and obviously playing with Malkin is pretty damn good. But imo if he's a top 6 forward (I think he is) you'll get the most out of him with Crosby

Noted. Wouldn't be the first time JR trading Staal between CAR and PENS + kinda win-win trade from my point of view.

I switched CBJ trade to ARI. Makes more sense as CBJ is already packed with bottom-6 forwards. UFA-1 to UFA-1 where ARI gets better upside and PENS are slightly tackling their 2nd/3rd pair issues.
