Isles trade is fair value but they won’t part with Mayfield who’s on a darling contract to take on almost 7M for Nylander. They cannot afford it. Only way Isles trade for Nylander is if leafs take similar salary back.

Islanders can't take on any salary. Pittsburgh would have no interest in Freddie, although perhaps a three-way deal could be made with Murray coming to Toronto, Freddie going to say, Buffalo, and assets going from Buffalo and Toronto to Pittsburgh.
