Van needs to move cap more than anyone here. This is somehow too much for Demko and still bad for Van.

They need the cap relief, but part of that comes from getting players with better contracts. They get a good pay for Demko and are able to move worse forwards with similar contracts to free up cap to sign Markstrom and such. They really aren’t adding too much cap.

Leafs are trying not to add cap and the Flames really don’t have much cap either. I feel like Demko needs to go and the Leafs are willing to pay a premium right now.

You talking about the 5 and 8 team NTC for Beagle and Roussel? That’s not a whole lot of teams to work around. Plus having a replacement for Toffoli.

I’m just saying I don’t think the cap would be a very big issue in this trade.

The 5 and 8 team NTC's are extremely huge when most teams wont take cap. You can limit a lot of good options.
I'd rather have Demko and resign Toffoli than Johnsson and the first.

You're going to war with the Canucks guy on this. I promise you I've done the math a bunch.

That’s not even close for Calgary the most they would give up for Andersen is a 3rd
