Due to age and contract term (assuming you can get him on a 5yr deal) Cirelli is a tier all his own.

All in all I agree, however. Another name to think about is Yanni Gourde. He’s been a MONSTER at Center these playoffs, and can shift back to the wing if needed and Cozens plays great

Gourde's full NTC might be an obstacle for BUF.

True, but the opportunity to play 2C minutes might be enticing, but that should also lower the price to TB if he’s willing to waive.

Those are the types of moves they have to make to get better

Great post. What would you pay (give away per tier)

I agree that Gourde makes sense when the cost to acquire is considered.

Good list. I think hertl probably moves up a tier, as he is the only guy in tier 2 that i would move 8oa for. So i have 8oa plus for tier 1 (plus hertl), less for tier 2, and not much at all for tier 3. I wouldnt move cozens for any of them. Im sure people will say "well you hope cozens develops into monahan/danault/cirelli/hertl", but its a flat cap and getting production on the cheap from cozens is worth more pound for pound.

I dont mind the idea of Gourde, but I see him more as a winger. I didnt put him on a list due to his NTC and the fact that hes primarily been a winger. He's of course coming off of a very down year as well. But could certainly fall into the 2nd tier. Possibly first if back to his first year form. And yes, cost would not be high to get him, IF he waives his NTC

I figured Hertl has a NTC and has injury issues stopped me from putting him in tier 1
