So Draisaitl is solid. But you packaged him someone we already placed on waivers and a 32year old goalie with 1 year of nhl experience. Blues are giving up their best up and coming forward in Thomas, schwartz who lead the playoffs with shot attempts and kills it in the playoffs solid all around top 6 forward, one of the best goalies in the league this year and playoffs, and as you put it, the best shutdown defenseman in the league. Blues don't want all that extra dead salary cap added when they're looking to resign Petro. Best you get is parayko + Allen for Draisaitl

interesting attempt .. edmonton would lose 2nd best player and st louis would gain something it has but would lose its top 2 d-men .. the cap wouldnt change for either team both would still be in cap purgatory .. but this type of package may be the only thing that would get draisaitl out of edmonton..
