offseason moves no trades

Description
MY OFFSEASON CHECKLIST:

- Re-sign Dylan Demelo

- Re-sign notable RFAs (Roslo, Harkins, Niku, etc.)

- Leave room on the Left D for Heinola and Samberg, develop them so that in a year or two they already have some experience under their belt

- Get a competent backup goalie so Hellebuyck isn't dead come playoff time. You have cap space, sign a decent backup for a couple years.

- Steer clear of Pietrangelo, we don't need to sign a 30 year old for a lot of money and a lot of term. The only scenario I would be happy with signing Pie would be on a shorter term deal, I'd say 4 years max but I don't see Pie signing anything non long term, and if he does, I'm sure plenty of other teams will be offering the same thing, and really what are the actual odds he signs here.

- Get a 2C. There are tons of options here. The main thing here is I don't want the Jets making a
mistake like how the Preds did with Matt Duchene. Signing UFAs usually end up being overpays, however there are some options: If they aren't too expensive, Granlund or Haula make sense, a trade for Yanni Gourde or Paul Statsny could work, etc. I decided to go with the Offer Sheet for Anthony Cirelli, hoping the lightning can't afford to keep him with only 5.3M available to re-sign Cirelli, Sergachev, and fill out the rest of their defence. I'm not married to getting Cirelli but I think he is the best fit (yes I know offer sheets never happen but let me dream damn it). Personally, I think Copp could potentially fill 2C, I see this next year as a down year to develop for the years coming and giving Copp a proper shot to play with some scoring wingers could work out in the future. But again, you need someone to fill that 2C hole, and considering the Jets likely have the cap space available with Little Likely being on LTIR, I'd imagine Chevy uses it.

Man the Jets are so ****ed, I used to think they were still in good shape but they're really not, amazing how far they've fallen in a short amount of time and really they were only a contender for one season, Chevy needs an assistant or something or he needs to go cause he's been floundering for awhile now.

they could use a new coach too lmao. Wish we would ditch PoMo for Gallant or someone better suited to get the best out of these players.

I mean I think PoMo is a great man, but he is a meh coach at best. When there is coaches like Gallant and Laviolette still out there makes no sense why he is still here in my eyes. Not just this year, but the second half of the 18-19 season was terrible. Not sure why he gets so much praise, he had 1 good season and I can confidently say that was because of the players, not his coaching.
