Should Isles Do Anything More Than This

To me this seems like the bare minimum for the isles this offseason. If Ladd goes to LTIR maybe some longer extensions. Should the isles add anything to this or try to keep it simple?

If they get back a 4th then absolutely. Idk much about J but I've seen youre high on him and I have no objections to taking that route

I think he’d be perfect with Pageau. He’d help turn the third line into one of the best in the league if it’s Jarnkrok-Pageau-Wahlstrom next year. Great 2-way guy and he score too. Very underrated

Who has signed their RFA's to contracts a year or two early? Ik Aho hit FA, did rantanen or connor? Idk if marner did, Larkin or Hertl. Draisaitl Kuznetsov or johansen? Those have been the major RFA's the past 3-4 season but I dont know if any of them were given their contract a year or two beforehand. No one has signed any contracts bigger than 3M per since the world ended, none being RFA to UFA contracts.


Matthews is one that stands out. Many rfa’s are signed early or extended in season. It’s not abnormal that Barzal isn’t but in the islanders situation it would be nice.

Not sure if I'd even want woods back, would rather have Koivula play IMO.

Also, I don't think trading Wilde is the best idea to move cap. Another asset or picks is probably best. Just a guess, but Wilde is insurance come the Seattle expansion. I'm guessing they'll take Mayfield which means Wilde has an in onto the team.

I think one or the other happens, either we trade Boychuk bellows and a 3rd and get back woods or we trade wilde instead of bellows and get back a pick. If we could trade bellows and get back a pick without giving up a first I'd love that. I really want to keep wilde and the first. Getting woods i couldn't care less if we did or didn't
