Start with Alexeyev + 2020 1st round pick
That will be interesting for them

I’d do that in a heartbeat if you took either Hagelin or Panik

Don’t think the caps need sheary although that’d be lit. Could probly have a sick 3rd line with CMC and Sprong

Also I think Siegenthaler at 3LD is better and cheaper than Gus. Kuzy probly gets you more than just dumba. Maybe Kaprizov too?

I think Arizona is going to need to go into a long term rebuild. They put all their chips in this past year and all they got for it was a first round exit? Now they're fined massively and lost picks/money. They need young players and picks, and they don't have a lot of leverage. Plus they need to shed salary, that deal saves them 2.9 mil per year now and then more in a few years. Plus they get a first round pick and a solid young Dman in Siegs they can plug in now.

Caps don't need to add much more imo to get a 29 year old Dman that's signed for several more years at $8.25 mill. As good as OEL is, that deal is solid for them.

I like Siegs, but to get OEL, he needed to be added. We have Gus for a one year stopgap until Alex is ready, after that, Fehérváry can either stay with Carlson on top pair, or Alex can and Fehérváry moves to 3LD.

If you think that’s the better offer they will receive for OEL, it’s not.
