Better to just wait until the trade deadline to move Perrault. You have the cap space to carry him that long and the cost cap wise for the new team would be significantly lower.

Might have to sweeten the deal to get rid of that contract. I dont want to carry that contract.

Thats why its better to wait. HIs contract is over after next season so the new team would only be responsible for the remaining games of the season. His 4 mil cap hit suddenly becomes closer to 1 mil for the new team and much easier to move.
