Description

Arizona sounds like ownership wants to reduce salary and rebuild. Johnny is a cap dump by Calgary to sign Toffoli and accommodate OEL. First rounder is added as Johnny has two years left. Arizona flips him at the 202 or 2022 deadline. Picks were a stab in the dark. Likely no second coming back from Arizona. Calgary may need to actually a prospect. Value there for the players?

Kuemper could be Raanta to help save 250K in cap for CGY.

Ryan is traded as a cap dump also to NYR. perhaps not that team but they are short C on their dept chart. Also may not get a 3rd for him. So be it.

Toffoli has been linked to Calgary. They pay him as a UFA to get him from Van and get the RH shot they want. Also they want to stick it to Van. (Could actually see him get 6.5)
