Description

Based on current rumors, not necessarily what I want to happen. Bottom six is young and inexperienced an LHD is still kind of a tire fire but hey it’ll be fun! No important UFA signings, just some AHL depth. Strome signed to a 1 year deal as a stop gap and ADA signed to a decent contract, but I could see him being flipped for a center next offseason. Idk we’ll see what happens...

Additional Details:

SHL seems to be out of the picture and I can’t see him retiring from hockey/the Rangers buying him out adding dead cap next season. So trade it is. Doesn’t have to be Calgary, but a team that needs a decent, veteran starter or an excellent backup (preferably a WCF team, can’t see him getting traded to someone in the ECF). He doesn’t have much value, but at half retained it’s not a cap dump. So long King!

Hank ain't waving his NMC for calgary and probably 20 or so other teams.

Plus Calgary needs a better longer term solution so even if Hank agreed to move to Calgary it would still be a no.

Way better options for the Flames even at 4.25.

Flames can resign Talbot for less than that to be much better. Also if he plays anywhere other than New York I might actually have an aneurysm. Brodeur to the Blues all over again 🤮🤮

Just give Ottawa a 3rd+Smith for a 6th when dumping him, it’s become standard in ACGMs at this point and both sides agree it’s fair
