I don't think Arizona would want the contract, even if he is younger. I don't think they are looking to replace the 8m contract with an 8m contract.

Arizona has every right to ask for this package back, OEL is a hell of a player. OEL is just too expensive and don't think the Rangers would go after this sort of deal anyway.

If we’re taking back Smith AND Lundqvist I think it would be reasonable to ask for another round 1-3 draft pick or Karl Henriksson

I kinda like this package but I wonder if they can switch Hjalmarsson for Dvorak or Schmaltz and maybe add something

It would have to be Schmaltz I think. I don’t hate that idea and I think NYR would rather have him than Hammer anyway. But if that’s the case than they 100% need at least another second round pick or Henriksson
