Not that I believe the value is right for this trade, but isn't Merz.. whatever his name is destined to be your future started? Might make sense to move Korpisalo now and get some sort of return for him.

I actually think this trade is an overpayment for Johnsson but considering all the assets Pittsburgh gave Toronto to acquire Kapanen I wouldn't be surprised if teams interested for Johnsson would approach the leafs with that kind of offer.

Why would we movie either goalie right now unless it’s in a package for a 2nd line center. Merzlinkins is exempt form the expansion draft btw. Even more of a reason to keep both and move one of them next offseason.

Yeah.... and with Merzlinkins being exempt from the draft and Columbus having to expose a goalie we kinda need to keep Korpisalo as he and Kevleniks are the only 2 from Columbus eligible to be taken.
