Defense could use some work, but a solid playoff team.

Yes good lines BUT I placed all the players who are either going to be leaving, we should trade or sign in the LTIR section for this posting.

Also, Bjustad, McCann, Hornqvist, Pettersson are all potential Trades for me as well.

AND I don't leave trading away Malkin or Letang for HUGE returns if available. Center Depth in the NHL is soooo small so Malkin's value is enormous still and Letang and his contract valuator his production is still very good as he is a first pairing right handed d man that can play in all situations.

Funny thing about Malkin is how adamant Rutherford has been against trading him and then you hear him say the other day he's open to listening but isn't shopping. Wonder if he's getting interest he likes on that end.

trading ZAR is dumb, he's better than at least 6 of the forwards on the team, maybe McCann too, I thought he was just on LTIR bc he's hurt to start the year

I have to disagree, Zar is awful, maybe has the most chances and fails most of the time, doesn’t have great speed, isn’t physical, he is second in line that needs to go after jack Johnson. Vanilla as they come. He does do good things don’t get me wrong but I think he is our weakest link in the forwards.

He just does not score. I like him for his defensive side of the game but I'll take Poulin over ZAR.

Poulin simply is not ready, he relies heavily on being bigger and stronger than his opponents, didn't get carried, but also didn't drive play particularly great, his team was just absolutely loaded, and he is still slow and not particularly "aggressive" (aggressive isn't the best word, but you can get away with being slow if you are just relentless and always attacking, or have an absurd shot or pass or whatever, which Poulin doesn't)
