How many years do they have left with this team? Will Bergeron play After this contract? Can they get Krejci to sign a deal like Stall did in Minny. They can't trade any more picks.

If they sign Hall like you did, it means he's UFA so LW2 to fill. Krejci so C2 to fill. Palmieri RW2 to fill. Kase RW3 to fill. All these players will take more than $3M. Rask and Halak are also UFAs, Carlo is RFA.

That " ton of money " would disappear right away. Bad idea to have an entire second line of pending free agents. If the Bruins get Palmieri, they don't move DeBrusk in that deal.
Moore and Ritchie basically have negative value at this point so NJ shouldn't do this deal.

Take Moore and Ritchie out, don’t think NJD would want them. NJD could also retain a bit more on Palmieiri’s 2020-21 contract (50% $2.3mil).

Other options for Palmieri....
Studnicka & 2021 2nd
Beacher & 2021 1st
Brandon Carlo

I wouldn't do anyone of those package for Palmieiri. NJD held out for a 1st rounder this past TDL.....clearly no team was willing to give it up becaise Pamieiri is still with New Jersey.

I believe NJD declined Bjork + 1st and Heinen + 1st, which is understandable. There were earlier rumors of other packages that included Backes, but not sure what else included as part of those. I also remember NJD didn’t like Urho for some reason, which is why I didn’t include him (no idea if he was even made available)

I can understand BOS not doing Carlo deal - but the other two seem to me to be on target....especially if NJD trade Zacha and/or move Hughes to wing (although those plans seem to hinge on McLeod’s development).

Lastly, I have always felt Palmieri to BOS makes most logical sense since his style seems to fit to their game and he spends part of off-season in Massachusetts. Seems like a place he would likely resign. But what do I know?

I think Krejci will be gone once his contract is up. Coyle moves up to 2C and Studnicka slots into the 3C spot.

Hall isn’t taking a 1 year deal. Too much for Krug whom was awful 5v5.

Devils accept, would prefer a mid-late round pick to Ritchie though

I think Palmieri would be a great fit in Boston as well. BTW the rumor I heard was it was either 2nd + Bjork or 1st + Heinen for Palmieri. I'd be willing to do Bjork + Kase for Palmieri as Palmieri would be taking Kase's spot (assuming Studnicka is in the NHL next season).

Last year, and correct me if I am wrong, they needed to use their 1st to shed Backes. In 2021, they won't have similar issue.
I think NJD only deals Palmieiri if (a) 1st pick or (b) premium prospect or (c) young 2nd pairing d-man is coming back....or similar value.
I still think they resign Palmieiri and trade Gusev...(should probably resign both)...

It was part of a package with Backes for Kase, not really used to soley shed Backes. Id be surprised to see Sweeney go back to back years with no 1st rounder tbh.
