Pass, offer a top 6 center or top 6 center prospect and we can revisit.

They want centers. It would have to be the CAR 1st rounder at least if theres no bonafide center.

That third line is soft as hell and will get lit up, which one of those lines is supposed to play against other teams top lines?

Hajek could be a part of the deal, Buchnevich really doesn’t make much sense for the wild though. Probably need to add chytil or a 1st to get in the ball park.

wishful thinking. Brodin is 1 season from ufa. the rangers couldn't get that for mcdonagh, the wild aren't getting that for brodin. what do you think he can bring back at the tdl?

buch is worth a lot more than carolina's 1st.

the team is still rebuilding, that 3rd line is better than last seasons 3rd line. kakko and chytil a year older...quinn doesn't keep lines together for the most part anyways, the lines aren't imperative at this point.

We'll gladly keep him and look elsewhere if you just want to lowball.

The Wild won’t be giving him away. And I have a feeling that the best defensive defenseman in the league on a great cap hit would interest plenty of teams. IF Brodin moves, he will bring back a good return.

Yeah, or we'll sign him long term and move Dumba. Or we'll trade him for a package that actually addresses our needs. We'll see.

that is a good return. a young top 6 forward on a cheap rfa contract, a young dman on his elc and a 2nd round pick is a very good return for a player about to be a ufa. if you think thats giving him away for nothing than your expectations are unrealistic. i like brodin a lot as a player but to call him the best shut down dman in the league is funny. additionally dman that do not produce points always get less in return. they aren't getting a better offer than the one i put.

Buchnevich really doesn’t have value for Minnesota. Pull him and the second and replace it with a Chytil or 1st. Yes, Chytil AND a 1st is too much but the assets coming back need to be futures. If Brodin leaves Minnesota, it means they are kicking the can a few years down the road.

So you want to pay a pending UFA price but your plan is to sign him long term? Then we'll allow you to negotiate that contract, and you can pay the price for him long term.

Additionally, whether you think it's funny or not, Brodin IS one of the best shutdown defensemen in the league.

Chytil and the 1st isn't too much if Brodin signs an extension with the Rangers.

the price i paid is more than what he will get at the tdl.
