Killorn to San Jose makes a whole lot of sense. I think you have a bit much going to Tampa but you are in the ballpark.

I like Sergachev a lot, but Debrincat is a year removed from scoring 40 goals at 21 years old. He had a down year this year, but based on his shooting %, it looks like he’s just had bad puck luck. At his career average sh%, Debrincat would have had 30 goals this year.

Personally, I’m not trading a guy with that production and upside unless I’m getting a top pairing guy back. I like Sergachev, but I don’t think he’s that. Adding over 3 million in retention for 3 years makes this trade absurd.

TBL are really in cap trouble. I think you have under valued what some key RFA and UFAs will need to be paid.
Cernak is worth closer to $4m AAV. TBL will likely have to match offer sheets up to $4.2m for him.
I also don't think Maroon and Bogosian sign for $0.95m and $1.25m.

I agree the retention is rough, but if not then it wouldn't work for Tampa. Tampa could add to the deal or work on another option. It also may be that the two aren't great trade partners, which is also okay. Some Chicago fans had expressed interest in Serg on another site, so wanted to see how one of the ideas would be received. Tampa wouldn't likely target DeBrincat first anyway, but the only other young elc piece to start with would be Dach, and most Chicago fans don't seem eager to move him. Out of curiosity, what would you offer for Serg if he was available and Chicago was interested?

What's with all this Tyler Johnson to Calgary crap? It's been widely reported that he wont waive for any Canadian team. So it's not happening. And even DeBrincat at 50% retention for Sergachev makes no sense seeing that Tampa can't take on any cap period. And i doubt San Jose is a team Killorn would waive to.

I am aware he supposedly has said he wouldn’t play in Canada. Had you bothered to read my trades and comments, and not just commented(once again) that a Tampa player won’t be waiving for somewhere, you might’ve seen that I mentioned that Calgary may not be the team he goes to. Additionally, in this admittedly unlikely Sergachev scenario, Tampa does make the cap work with taking the 3.2 million of DeBrincat’s contract. It’s unlikely that Chicago would agree, and since the only other piece Tampa would likely be willing to move Serg for would be Dach, it seems like Tampa and Chicago aren’t likely good trade partners for Serg.
