    The team might have an internal cap of low/mid 70 million.

    The issue is they've already basically confirmed they are working with an internal budget this year. When you consider they have an internal cap in the mid 70s, things get a little tight.

    Rutherford said they do not. That was speculation.

    They did not confirm it, Rutherford said at his presser that "management has okay'd us to spend to the cap, but I may try to leave 2-3 million for flexibility if I can" (something like that).

    It was not. Rossi, who lost his press pass in the past for making stuff up, reported it. Same guy that just got totally called out for his garbage Letang story. Kingerski picked it up and ran with it, but its never been more than speculated and JR shut it down immediately.

    Ya he says “reportedly” in his article today.

    That isn’t him confirming it, just saying “it has been reported.”

    Anyway, hopefully unfounded.
