I think Johnsson would be a really nice addition, but we can't afford him. You'd have to take one of our bad contracts back.

Canes dont have the cap to take on that kind of retention and get Andersen.

They were trying to acquire Parise at the deadline and don’t think a significant contract was moving back. Think it’s more likely they can squeeze him in or move someone else out separately. Big hole at third line LW.

I’m aware of the cap situation lol. I forgot Ladd was 100% going to be sent the other way (believe they were going to retain heavily) but can still be moved elsewhere. Or they’ll move someone else. If you think they’re going to sit on their hands and not add another forward based on the flat cap idk what to tell you.

I never said they were going to sit on their hands? If you were aware of their cap situation, you'd know their priority is getting guys like Barzal, toews, pulock re-signed and to do that they would have to move cap space for it. Acquiring Johnsson is the opposite of that - especially when it requires giving up a pick which we don't have many of.
