Not a splash but a ripple

Description
Main concerns are RHD and 2C.

Re-signing DeMelo and signing Hamonic (hometown discount? :) ) fixes the RHD issue. I also really like the idea of Hamonic mentoring Samberg on the 3rd pairing.

Keep Beaulieu/Brossoit on the same deal until Heinola/Berdin is ready (should be a couple years for both imo). Hopefully Brossoit can step it up a bit this coming season.

Gourde might be a player that the Jets could go after that would not cost as much as some other options (i.e. Cirelli, Danault, Domi), but his NTC will probably be an issue (especially for WPG). Most trades for a 2C (without using the 10OA) probably include Roslovic/Niku and some picks.

Minnesota probably picks Lundell at 9OA so unless the Jets try to move up, Chevy probably takes the best pick available (Quinn/Sanderson). I'm really high on Quinn as a possible Wheeler replacement on the 2nd line in a few years.

With all these moves, the Jets are left with ~1 mil in cap space, but with a lot of contracts expiring (Perreault, Brossoit, Beaulieu, and Poolman), the Jets will have ~8 mil to sign Laine/Pionk/Copp. Lowry might have to be a casualty for this to happen though.

Tampa easily says yes, probably wouldnt take even that much considering our cap crunch, maybe just a mid round pick and a C+ or B- prospect

You're overpaying Tampa here by a considerable amount.

Pretty sure Tampa might take gourde for Niku straight up lol.

Also, I like what you did with the lineup. Doubt Quinn Makes the NHL but wishful thinking is good. Also it’s fine if we lose Lowry next year, gustafsson will jump in and play the exact game as him.

What kind of prospects does Tampa need? I'm sure the Jets would be more than willing to give up Stanley/Vesalainen + a 2nd.

So maybe take out Roslovic and have Niku+ for Gourde?

If we give up a 2nd for Gourde we’re nuts. Should be no more than a guy like Stanley or Niku and a 3rd. Tampa is in such a cap crunch.

Biggest need would be Defensive depth/Prospects, i like Stanley alot, Vesalainen would probably be a bit of an overpayment with a 2nd

I figure Stanley and a 3rd is fair. They get value and cap relief. Anything more than a 3rd + B prospect would be an overpayment imo.

Oh wow, I was thinking that Tampa would want a bit more cuz the Jets desperately need a 2C, but i guess they're equally as desperate to clear some cap space.

I think Stanley and a pick or Vesalainen straight up for gourde would work for both teams. Jets get a 2c, Tampa gets cap space and a Prospect that can either shore up the defense or a forward who can step in this year or next

Wouldn't give them Roslovic or the 40th overall pick for Gourde, would send them that 40th pick+ for Cernak though, what that + would be I'm not entirely sure.
