How have the “Keumper to Toronto” trades become so unhinged that it’s Keumper for Anderson straight up now? It’s ridiculous and not going to happen. Don’t try to tell me anything about real money savings either

I really don't understand the thought train behind Andersen for Kuemper 1 for 1.

As much as I'm sure you hate to admit it, Arizona IS struggling financially, seeing how they missed bonus payments, and have cut salary for staff. a similar, if slightly less talented goalie, for 3.5 million less, is something that they would have to consider. The Leafs are one of the fortunate teams to not have to worry much about money during this pandemic, and this is the kind of move that makes sense for them to take advantage of it. Maybe they throw in a little bit of a sweetener, but i think one for one is a move that makes sense.

Nothing about it makes sense. It’s just blindly downgrading. They can shed money by trading other players and they can get much more for Keumper if they do decide to trade him

Stars can’t take on that kind of cap space. Why would Zona give up the more valuable goalie and not get a sweetener?
