To be fair, it's not just an Edmonton problem. We lost shattenkirk and oshie for a paltry sum. I do think our issues were largely cap related and you should have gotten more from them. On the plus Id rather have neal than lucic

Cap. RNH is making 6 per now, and is going to want a raise after next season, presumably a season he'd be playing with Panarin and therefore pricing himself out of the Rangers cap. So it'd basically be a one year rental, which is not worth it in any fashion.

i like the idea of weaponizing cap space, but the sens and jets would also weaponize their cap by doing more than bringing in kris Russell and James neal.

RNH has been a first or second line centre in the league for 9ys, he’s not going to give you first line production but he’s more then a capable #2C smart and easy to play with
Deangelo Been in the league 4 yrs 2 or which he split between the NHL and AHL he had a big yr but the # tell you he’s closer to a 30 point guy then the 53 he put this yr is a RFA looking for a payday and not the best defender
You can say RNH would be a rental but a extension could easy be worked out as part of the trade
Not many if any #2 centres available it’s going to cost to acquire one, rangers would need to add more.
