While I don't think it will ever happen but the Detroit trade is one you can't turn down.

good AGM but not worth it. We now have no depth and good luck signing Yamo, RNH, or Bear after his bridge deal is over. Petro to the Oilers just doesn't make sense

I don't think Edmonton would be willing to give up that much to move Russell and Neal, but Detroit would take that and run

They easily have enough money to resign Yamo and RNH for next year based off this. And Bear is signed 5 years here (maybe too many years at this cap though). I think this works quite well.

Leafs had to pay a 1st rounder to get rid of one year of Marleau. This is 1 year of Russell and 3 years of Neal. Who both have some utility left in them but still. I think it would work well for both teams.

Detroit would own all of Edmonton's picks though haha

With taking Neal and Russell, you still don't have enough cap space for a full roster.

Edmonton would be stupid to make that trade with Detroit.

Detroit has plenty of cap space to take Neal and Russell.

Yes I know that is why I said it's a trade you have to take.

tbf, dubas was excpecting his 1st to be low 20s, not the 13th pick. And that was an overpay anyways
