While I understand your feelings at the same time I feel like we could use either of those firsts to move up and select a good top end prospect, trade detroits and Vegas for 2nd/3rd overall try to get stutzle then possibly another top end prospect.

In two years the cap may go up again making Turris contract a little more manageable. We do have Abdelkader till then

I personally would say yes to both

I’d take both of these. As many 1st rounders as possible.

I know Turris at 6M seems tough getting 11OA would be worth it I feel. Turris gives us C depth as we rebuild (wings have no one behind Larkin). I’d rather have Turris than a 35yr old vet FA just to fill a spot.

NSH declines that. They'd much rather buy out Turris than give up that pick to get rid of him. Getting saddled with Helm makes it even less likely.

Turris against the cap for 8 years on a buyout or 1 year of Helm...hmm.
