Is his daddy Panarin coming with him in this proposed scenario? Otherwise, SJ will hold onto their pick and $5 million in cap space for the 35 point per season scorer that he has been the rest of his career.

Was his daddy Panarin also responsible for his more than 0,5 PPG pace in the 18-19 season, because it sure as hell wasn't Vesey/Zuccarello/Fast or others like that. He literally started the year on our 3rd line (behind Zibanejad and Hayes) and was already producing at a 0,5 and slightly more PPG pace.

In your system (again, I repeat what I said earlier, SJ is a place holder), he'd be a great add to play with the Kanes, Meiers and Labancs of this world, who could really use a playmaker like him

Petro isn't signing in a team like ANA, he's signing in a team that can frontload his deal like crazy, and it's not like ANA is one of the richest teams in the league.
Also, the difference between Trouba and Petro is the age, Trouba is still at an age where you can be patient before contending, where has Petro is in a major win now mode

I mean, the Samueli's seem to be doing just fine...

People need to stop thinking Strome is going to land us a 1st or second round pick

It's not the cap that's the issue on Trouba/Kre lider lol it's their place in the lineup. Can't see one of Panarin/Laffy/Kreids moving to RW and dropping Buch to th 3rd line is a waste a his talent

LOL if you don't think Trouba's 8m is an issue. He's the 6th highest paid Dman in the league. He's not worth that money and you expect Ducks to give up good assets too?
Same with Kreider. It's debatable is he's worth 6.75m especially long term. Avs needs cap next year if they want to secure their own UFAs and even they RFAs.
There is big difference in a cap league between "on ice value"and "trade value"
