I agree a 2nd for Kerfoot is too much.

Kapanan got a mid first and a prospect. How is Kerfoot not worth a second? I could change it to a Detroit 3rd but the difference in draft spots is about 13 picks, so I don’t think it changes things that much.

Maybe he is worth a 2nd but not to Detroit they are rebuilding and trading a 2nd for a bottom 6 player isn't worth it.

Why do people post 20 or 21 man roster with no cap? Totally not practical.

yeah I'd argue Kerfoot is hella better than kappy. Plays centre, more term, he actually found success in our top 6, kills penalties. I kinda hope the leafs keep him, it's hard to find versatile guys like that that don't break the bank

Sabres have no reason to that.

Wings still pass. He is a 3C making 3.5M and scores 27 points, he has 0 value going to the red wings. We aren't taking your cap dump for picks, plus we have plenty of other bottom 6 guys and don't need another one. Leafs add a 2nd for us to take that contract, or you can trade him to a contender and get the value you are looking for.

Bottom line is, intradivision trade to help Toronto with their cap is not happening unless you pay for it
