You aren't coming close to Draisaitl for that, even if Buffalo's pick is bottom 10. Stralman absolutely needs to come back for Draisaitl to work, and we don't know how well Stralman will do offensively without Hedman.

Also you're taking on a pretty restricting contract with Nis. And as far as Draisaitl being a special player so is Drouin Koekkoek is gonna be around for a bit too. These trades don't make tampa better now or later.

Caps GM is reluctant to give up first round picks. Especially considering if we gave up this year's first round pick we wouldn't have a pick until the fourth round and we wouldn't have a pick until the third round next year
