I really like the idea of going after Kase, but I'm not sure getting rid of Simmer is the best way to go about doing so. Simek's contract is one that could look fine in 2-3 years time or it could look bad, and I truthfully don't know how he'll pan out. Evolving hockey has his contract expectation at 1.022M which does scare me a lot. I do like the idea of getting Dilly back though and that's the right price for him imo.

SJS isn't trading Simek before his extension even kicks in

It's totally possible when this is the same GM who traded poor Seto the day after he signed his extension 😂

I don't know if Evolv took into account the poor dude was playing injured all of last year since they're pretty hush hush about listing those things even if they're there.

We have Simek already, we call him John Moore, and he is the 7th/8th d man on the depth chart. Why would they trade their RW2 for a bottom end d man with no upside?

And no, i will save you the trouble, Simek is not any better than Moore, their metrics are very similar, it’s just a matter of difference in depth as to playing time.
