Just putting my two cents in. Drafting Stutzle over Byfield will be a mistake and the kings wouldnt win the cup in 2030. But hey who knows.

Stutzle > Byfield

fair argument especially rn cause it looks like it. But, I feel Stutzle will struggle playing in a nhl system coming over from Europe(not talking about ice) as I see he struggles making adjustments on the fly in game. On the other hand, Byfield has shown a poise, maturity, skill set, and mistakes any other 1c from the chl. Almost like its a similar process.

All good points. Personally I go by gut and eye with these high selections when it’s close. Obviously it’s all opinion so what I say here legit doesn’t matter or have weight lol; but for example in the Patrick draft, I personally felt the top 2 guys weren’t the best, and then if I had to pick I knew Hischer was the better pick.

When I see Stutzle I see a kid driven to win.
I didn’t like what I saw from Byfield this past juniors (but he’ll get much more opportunity next world juniors)
I loved what I saw from Stutzle

Additionally if I was gonna be objective, I think Stutzle would have a ton more attention if he wasn’t in the DEL and the fact he’s already played with Men is a huge bonus and shows me he has excelled this much and been so highly rated while already beating men

All good points from you aswell. Stutzle is stud skill wise and in fact he's better rn so I cant argue with anything said. Just a friendly clash of opinions. Either ways kings should be fine.

Just meaningless speculation. A lot of Kings players were loaned to Germany but it means nothing. I don't care either way anymore. I already did a Byfield series like this so did a Stutzle one

Probably

Stuzle is also a 18yo playing in a league of men and standing out so of ALL the skaters he has the most nhl ready game, I can see Byfield being a miss as at every major event he was a non existent player. Sure he does good against people in his league but on world stage. FLOP
