First Hjalmarsson is not a 3rd pair guy. Secondly, he has already said he wont waive his NTC. Thats a steep price for Markstrom when Lehner is getting 5x5

Oh didn't you know? Apparently Markstrom is way better than Lehner.... and he has to be paid more than Lehner or the Canucks "won't let him leave", like he has no say in the contract

When does who is better matter in contracts?? Lehner could make more money going elsewhere. Detroit would pay him more. Lehner wants to play in Vegas. That's what Vegas can pay him.

Markstrom wants to stay in Van. It'll take more than Van can pay to sign him away.

Arizona passes. They don't have cap room to retain1/2 contract and take Ryan back...

Value is alright for AZ, but Hammer already declined to waive his NTC. Also not sure why you have them retaining 50% when you're sending back Ryan's contract. Seems unlikely.
