Why is a player needed??? Don’t understand that logic...

What do you base that on?? That you are a Montreal fan??

Montreal says no. It’ll most likely cost a 1st to move him. Also Rangers say no to the Buffalo trade.

IDK I think Tony hasn't proven himself defensively but you need a roster player of some kind coming back for a right shot Dman who just had 56 points whatever the number was

first: don't be on the defense like that

second: Danault have a contrat for this incoming season.. Mtl have no rush to deal him for a guy on RFA. Pretty sure MB can fetch a first at the TDL if he doesn't want to resign with MTL

Strome has more points and is a solid 2C that will help
Montreal. Danault is (latest I read) not happy with his position I MON so that is why I think one for one would be a fair trade. Even added a 3rd as a sweetener. But if Danault wants to stay in MON this is trade will never happen...

I still don’t agree with that thinking but I fully understand that some others think that. I truly think 2 seconds would be fair. Maybe add a prospect as a cherry.

the whole idea behind Danault possibly moving is theres a congestion at C theres no point in trading for a C and a worse one on top of that Habs say no and ask you to lose their number

Honestly I would go for some 2nd round picks if it means we have the means to offer sheet a Tampa player

Yeah, he said he want to play 1c to be paid like a 1c... his ice time will be 1-2c but not with the stat of a 1c. Suzuki and KK are still young so Danault will get much time this season
