FILPPULA TRADE:
Needed cap space to sign kucherov, so he was expendable at 2 yrs left.

BISHOP TRADE:
Because of the expansion draft, trading Bishop would mean some return for him. Dallas probs would not give up too much for him seeing as though hes got 2 yrs left.

Tampa could do a lot better than that if they're gonna trade bishop. He's one of the top goalies in the league and that would be huge for dallas if they could get him.

I disagree (^) because Bishop would be a free agent the following year and there would be a possibility of him leaving for nothing (plus expansion draft).

With all the contracts coming up next year tampa would be better of getting nothing that a $4mil cap hit for a backup goalie.

Neimi will be gone the year after as well as they can ship him out for a pick if need be.

True I wasn't really taking the NTC into account.
