Reardless Leon, Milan, RHN, Eberle, Sekera, Larrson and Kelfbom are protected. Then it comes down to do you protect Maroon, Pitlick and Kassian or Davidson.
IMO with Benning emerging Davidson becomes a little easier to expose.</i></div></div>IMO Pitlick. He's versatile.

TRADING EVERYONE! / Rebuilding
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div><i>I tried doing this once myself (Trading everyone on the team) and seeing what was the result. Either the return i wanted for certain players was unattainable by anyone or half the team was selling them off short.
Fun exercise but you'll never make this one of 2 things, fair in the eyes of MTL fans or fair in the eyes of the other teams. Truth is trading one player for fair return both ways is hard. Trading everyone accurately, is damn near impossible.</i></div></div> Yeah 100%, it's not meant be real.

The trade seems fine (the only reason being is that the Hall-Larsson trade set the market for a one on one swap) but the Gryba signing is pretty bad. I know it's only 2 years but they'll regret it during the season if/when they would want to trade him.

What could be a trade Tavares/Pacioretty?
The two above already stated what is true.
But I'm gonna say it as well, "not even close".
Snow would get exiled if he did that.

Tavares to Montreal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div><i>OK we need to take off the Habs goggles guys. I'd do this trade in a heart beat. Tavares is a freaking beast. Chucky and Gally are star players but not franchise players. At least not yet. Tavares along with Weber and Price make for one of the strongest teams in the league. Then throw in a first rounder which may end up being a lottery pick! Come on........let's be honest here as Marinaro would say.
I get why some question this as was my first thought but Tavares is pretty much second in the league to only Crosby and McDavid. Not only that he's a captain on man teams. We'd be acquiring another guy who is a true leader. Soon enough we'd be winning games on leadership alone... hahhah :p</i></div></div> Exactly, the Habs would have Franchise Center, Dman, and goalie. Look at the past 5,10,15 years. Every team has at least two of those. Tavares is Franchise centerman and Chucky would be the starting point. No question about that.

The EDM-MTL trade is so bad it's actually hysterical.
And Larsson's value is a lot higher than you think it is.

Possible Patches Trade
Idk why people are thinking it would be Patches and other assets for a good player and a couple of more assets. If they were to trade him, it's most likely going to be straight up quality for quality, as the Canadiens are in a win now mode.

Nesty and Murphy would fill out some needs on the bottom D pairings. Overall great (need) trades for all teams.

What 'immediate' depth do they gain by trading Kruger for picks?
BTW Kruger is someone you don't trade if you're lookng to win.

What MINNESOTA needs to do to go deep into the playoffs
Yea true but Nino would be better off suited at 2RW for his development. I think Koivu is a very underrated top line C.

Well, I mean Pominville is overpaid and the Wild would do well with getting rid of his contract. So yeah minus him you could add two or three fast players.

JVR is very good, and going deep into the playoffs doesn't mean you have to have all 'all-stars'. By getting both it provides them with good depth which is what a team needs to win.
Also, what exactly go the Wild need then? They are deep centre wise, good RW depth, one of the best defensive cores in the league, Dubnyk is good but probs need an upgrade there, and at LW is only Parise and an 'ok' second/ 'good' third liner in Zucker.

LIghtning roster (with new additions)
I disagree (^) because Bishop would be a free agent the following year and there would be a possibility of him leaving for nothing (plus expansion draft).

Obviously there will be snubs but I don't think you can replace any of the D. And Segs would be better suited at C because of his familiarity with Benn and he would be better at faceoffs.
