Coyotes are more likely not moving Kuemper unless a team massive overpays for him so probably gonna need more

This is apparently a trade that is in the works though. For what it's worth Chiasson scores more than bjork and is great on the powerplay. Only reason the oilers trade him would be Puljujarvi coming back.

It is not happening. The Bruins are not trading a 23 year old for 30 year old who is not good. Chaisson wouldn't sniff PP on Bruins.
There is literally zero chance of this happening. The Bruins really like Bjork.

If Bjork is being discussed it's around Puljarvi or Nurse/Klefbom.

***edit zero chance

He had two more goals than Bjork last year. It seem like when Chaisson isn't having a career anomaly year and adding 7% to his shooting % he is a 10-12 scorer.

I will take the 23 year old who absolutely flies. The Bruins have been waiting for him to break out. He showed actual signs last year and bulked up a bit, I don't see them bailing now. Not for a 30 year old with one season over 13 goals.

Signing a 3rd pairing guy for $5M and asking him to play 1st pairing isn't a very good idea. You could sign Matt Benning for $2M to play 3rd pairing very effectively.

Are you sure? Chiasson played on the best PP the league has seen in the past 40+ years. And it was 68% better with him on it. Pretty sure EVERY other team in the league would give him a shot at net-front on their 1st unit.

Yes, 100% sure. He wouldn't be on their PP. He had 12 goals.

You do realize that two of the best two players on the planet are also on that PP.

I don't think he would be on half the PP's in the league. He has average under 15 goals per 82 games for over 500 games. You are trying to put lipstick on a pig.

It's not about the future in Boston anymore though, you need to win cups now. The core players are going to be too old in 3 years. The eastern conference teams are desperate for adding guys like patrick maroon to help them in a stretch cup run. Look how well the strategy worked for St Louis and Tampa. i give you a right wing patrick maroon, Alex chiasson.

I actually really really disagree with this. The New core is there. McAvoy, Carlo, Pastrnak. All under 23. Marchand still has 3-5 Elite years. Bergeron 2-3. Coyle is locked in. I think they Hope Studnicka and Vaakanianan are two more pieces as well. Same with Beecher.

I am also leaving out Debrusk, Bjork, Grzelyk and Kase, who could creep in there too.

I mean, I think they need to add, but the right move is not trading someone who could develop into that for a guy you can really get anywhere. The Bruins added that mostly useless big guy and it didn't work.

I just don't see it, not without a pretty decent pick coming back to Bruins.

Chara hasn't been elite in a few years.
