A realistic OEL trade in my opinion is a Jake, Troy, with a bad contract and a 1st this year. But you guys don't so I personally think this makes a little to no sense for the Nucks and especially for the future guys they have to pay. I also think the risk of his contract is high with his age and cap hit. Maybe in FA some depth but don't try to overspend.

Arizona will probably take Eriksson’s deal in return with futures. The fact Canucks already paid Loui’s bonus will be nice for Yotes whom should be shedding salary all off season. Lou makes a million in real dollars this season

Let’s remember this team hasn’t been able to pay their bills all season. They are desperate and this is a new normal for teams like Arizona.

Canucks could give a few futures, Eriksson contract and it would be enough. Arizona would also need to retain 1.5-2 million per year.

Van doesn’t need to give a 1st. Not close. Arizona must move OEL and he will only waive to Boston or Vancouver as has been reported. That gives the Yotes no leverage. They will take whatever Van offers within reason

Lucky for them. They don’t even have a 1st this year. Maybe the one good thing about OEL is that Benning won’t overpay for free agents this year as he’ll be mortgages to the hills.

He’s got so much leverage here tho he needs to use it. Arizona is in dire straits financially

2nd rounder, Virtanen and Eriksson contract would be enough to take an anchor away from Zona. OEL is still good but his contract is an albatross. And he’s an older player showing signs of regression

Looked at the OEL contract. Oof. He's owed 10.5 million in real salary in each of the next 3 seasons. He's dead weight. Bay Bay
