Even if Kuznetsov magically becomes the top six center who's production doesn't tank in NSH, the Preds don't have the cap space to accommodate his contract. They need to move a center this off-season, not bring in another one with term and a high salary. Fabbro is an important part of their future, so including him is a non-starter. The prospect pool is shallow, so they'd be hesitant to give up picks unless they're getting something back that they really want. Boyd doesn't have any value to NSH.

I see your point. A depth chart at center of Duchene-Johansen-Bonino-Turris is not all that different from Kuznetsov-Duchene-Johansen-Turris, but it costs $3M more. Square peg, meet round hole.

WPG and Ari fans on here are low key asking about Kuznetsov. NSH needs wings. Ovechkin led the league in goals, but is rumored to want a 10.5Mx3 extension. Oshie is still scoring on a 30 g 50p pace, but is old. It would make more sense for NSH and WSH to swap a C for a W. At that point, I'm still not positive whether we talk about just throwing in Fabbro, but maybe a different defenseman?

Appreciate the feedback gmgb, Fabbro is a great piece indeed , good for the insight from a Preds fan to see what is the buzz down there.... That's the good about posting something and getting good feedback like that

Thanks for the intel about ARI and WPG asking about Kuzy, that top 4 D would be something to get back for him..... have to take a look at their rosters to see where one could find some common ground making sense.... Oshie value goes far beyond the rink, he's that teams' heartbeat and one of the few that gave every ounce for that team in bubble... definitely getting up in tooth but still think he has couple more good years in him
