how do the canucks get a first and second for trading away loui eriksson in any form of deal? They give up value equal to loui i guess in the other players, so they get a 1&2 for retaining 1.5m? :/

canucks are paying for part of oel salary.

in return boston can re-sign krug and chara

D core could look like:

oel - mcavoy
krug - carlo
chara - lauzon?

they basically get one of the top D cores in the league.

Why would boston walk away from a chance of having the best D-core in the league. Most defencemen play till their mid thirties, and oel at 6.6 for at least the next 3-4 years is a steal.

Arizona gets 2 solid wingers and a good rhd prospect who can step in next year. They shed 8.25mil for the next 7 years, they just have to weather the storm with loui who can step in and still be a good defensive forard for their PK.

Arizona is not going to get much when their handcuffed to make a deal. They dont have leverage as oel wants out. Canucks were but in this scenario with kesler and got scraps for him.

There's no freaking way that Boston is getting OEL at around $6.57M or so, Then give Krug either $7M or $7.5M they don't have that kind of cap space. If sweeney goes for OEL then Krug is gone probably same with Chara as well.
