Heard that Armstrong is considering moving Raanta instead of Kuemper, With a glutted UFA Goalie market right now his value will be diminished.

Unless they can get a first rounder out of OEL, Kuemper would be the smartest move while he has two years left at a very reasonable cap hit.

With a total of zero right handed wingers this team will be a disaster.
Zero chance Pelletier makes the team next year, let alone learns to play center. Hes already committed to another season in the Q.
Why sign Schultz when you can play Kylington?
Why is Fischer playing center?

-As for Pelletier, then put Bennett at center and find a left shot winger.
-Schultz is a guy that I would count on rebounding, you can flip him at the deadline for a pick if you miss the playoffs.

Totally agree Kumper would definitely be the smartest move, Possibly perhaps when the UFA Goalie market cools down Armstrong might get some value out of Kuemper but doubt he does as of now.

MIN fanbase (much like CGY's) seems to have convinced themselves that making the playoffs is the standard of success they want to achieve and therefore are more concerned about bolstering their roster this year and less worried about prospects or long term success. I'm not sure the value is there regardless. It's close. Another mid round pick or rights to an RFA like Kylington and you're probably there. That said, I don't believe MIN is enamored with Monahan and believe they can do better.

No way ARI agrees. They believe Kuemper alone is worth a 1st + (not imo but I'm sure there's a GM out there who is willing to pay it to save their own skin) so I don't see them also giving up Fischer as well. Other teams can offer a better package.

Granlund better not be getting paid $4.5 mill with any sort of term. He's steadily regressed the last two years and in this economic climate... if he wants anything more than 2 years at 2.5 teams should pass.

The last goalie to get traded for a 1st round pick is Frederik Andersen. It was for the 30th overall and the 50th overall., not to mention that he was quite younger than Kuemper is right now.

As for Granlund, he's an offensive minded player on a defensive team. He just isn't a fit on the Preds, just like Duchene, Turris, etc.
