Awesome Middle-Six

Created by: Flames22

Description
I really like the idea of a Tkachuk - Bennett - Lindholm second line. Also love the idea of a Mangiapane - Backlund - Dubé third line. I think this could be a very solid team.

what the **** is this crap? Virtanen is a bottom 6 winger that was a healthy scratch in the playoffs.

Well, the point of this ACGM is to highlight the solid middle-six that this team could have, that's where I spent most of my time. I just put in a top line RW that would work with cap. That being said, I think Virtanen would play a similar role to the one that Hudler played a couple of years ago. Maybe not the best player in the world, but will keep up with Gaudreau and Monahan/be a good complement.

Improving the middle 6 by aborting the top line doesn't make this better

Anyway your core has done nothing in the playoffs for half a decade now, you REALLY need to retool

And swearing/insulting people doesn't make you intelligent nor does it encourage people to see your point of view. People skills clearly isn't your strong suit eh? I'd love to open up one of these threads involving the Flames and not see your ignorant hot taeks in the comments. Sadly, trolling is the only thing you seem to know how to do effectively.

I'm not sure Virtanen has the same skillset as Hudler (lack creativity and vision) but may be a Ferland comparable. I'm not sure you'll have to trade for him though as the Canucks can't afford to qualify him so he may just become a UFA at which point they could acquire him on a "prove it" contract without expending assets. I'd also suggest maybe he stay to the bottom 6 until you see if the reputation of his work ethic is accurate or not. Definitely worth a look though!

Hey Method man....relax. I've seen a few of your post and just so you know, this isn't real, you aren't a real GM, it's supposed to be for fun. I think you get my point, or do you. Take it easy, try and give some constructive criticism instead of the negatively betraying ones thus far. Unlikely you would talk to many of these people face to face like that.

Good points on Virtanen. I liked Ferland on that line back in the day because he had a good shot and was pretty good at supporting Gaudreau and Monahan, without doing anything too complicated. Haven't watched a lot of Virtanen but it sounds like he could be similar.

I'm in trouble for swearing? What is this third grade? I didn't insult the guy, just said the idea was bad. As for my people skills, they are fine. I simply don't care what a bunch of people online think about me. Calling out stupid proposals isn't trolling, and being an asshole isn't the same as being a troll.

So your just a bully behind a key board then? Thats worse that an actually bully. You should review the form rules and then show a little class. If you don’t like his proposal fine say why no need to be insulting. See you did provide a well crafted argument on your second post, but I don't think people took it seriously due to-your first post. Then when they called you on your first comment you double down on post three and stooping toi a new low.

Calling a bad idea bad isn't bullying, nor is it insulting. Unless a person is a prick, I stick to my opinion of their post/proposal. If not wearing kid gloves because someone can't handle their armchair GM idea being called terrible, makes me worse than a bully in your eyes... well then I feel like you might be lucky enough to have never been bullied.
