I wouldn't give much for Sutter, Vancouver needs to unload his cap more than Ottawa needs him, but he's a right hand shot, and Ottawa could use him for a year if he's cheap.
Baertschi a bit of an unknown, he passed through waivers and is 28 years old now, but his salary is only $2.4MM, but it's the same as with Sutter, Vancouver needs to unload him more than Ottawa needs to trade for him. Ottawa would only acquire if he's cheap.
Eriksson is a black hole, owed $5MM in salary over the next two years with horrible production. Vancouver needs to give big if Ottawa is taking such a bad contract, and over two years. Ottawa will want to compete next season, and Eriksson's cap will eat into Ottawa's cap, during a flat cap.
These are Vancouver scraps, and they need to give to unload them.
This isn't getting done without a first round pick or D+2 top prospect like Jett Woo. I'd take the package offered, or for Woo and the 2nd & 3rd picks offered.
