I always thought Charlie was better until the last 7 months. Serg has come a long ways. Offensively Serg is better. Defensively Charlie better but Serg getting closer. It is a bold statement but I have watched Hedman and Serg after first 3 years Serg is better than Hedman. No way that I think that he will be better than Hedman long term. Charlie stepping in day one as a defenseman very impressive, very few do that.

To me, the only thing stopping this...is you're about to PISS THE F out of McAvoy. Serg is younger and you're about to pay him BIG, but you couldn't give you're own guy anything but a bridge deal?
