How cool would this be

Description
I think Kuznetsov would score more goals on the wing, and could be the middle six wing the Caps are looking to add if they pick up a center who can keep up with good wings. Dvorak showed he can do that. I'm not sure what the asking price woudl be or if Arizona would even consider moving him, but adding a 2C by trade and bringing up a prospect could give the Caps six experienced NHL centers by the playoffs.

Doesn't have to be Dvorak, but the cap might work.

Habs decline, no need for three years of Panik.

As a die hard Caps fan, I am drooling over this one! I like the Lindgren add for some young goalie depth. Shattenkirk and King Henry would be huge as x-factors. I think Caps are win now for sure and need to make a move like this. Kuzy as a winger is a great call as well. They shuffled him so much last season it was hard to watch him struggle to find an identity and Rierden just got lost by the end of it all. It's tough to lose those guys but Dvorak would slot in nicely and especially after this draft, Arizona is helpless with no picks and no real prospects to speak of. My only other thought was Tampa Bay and Tyler Johnson. They are in some serious cap trouble and exposure trouble with the expansion coming up, maybe Caps could snag a good deal for him?

Never trade Fehérváry!!!! Huge mistake. You could get a comparable center for less than this. I mean he’s no better than Eller. Just move Eller up

Agreed about not moving Fehervary, but Eller is by no means better than Dvorak. And I'm a big Eller fan

Okay, thanks. I do see some parallels between his game and Josh Anderson's, but if one is enough, that's fine.

We also already have Armia who plays a similar game

I know the feeling. WSH already has Ovechkin, Oshie, Wilson, and Hathaway. If there's a way to make the cap balance, it sounds like the Habs need Panik more. smile

edit: or, it doesn't have to balance, if MTL made the Domi trade partly to save cap for raises to Suzuki and Kotkaniemi, then what kind of amazing sweeteners would it take to pull off Panik for Drouin?

I'd say they are very comparable look a CF% FF% xGF% and overall point totals and i think Eller minus age is about as good if not better

Coyotes want draft picks since they had to forfeit so many because of their scouting practices. They just resigned Adin Hill so won't need Vanecek. If you want Dvorak, I would guess they would want a 2nd, and Eller....might even need to throw in Protas. Dvorak is on a very reasonable deal for the next 5 years and is only 24 with 2C potential.

Eller got three more even strength points that Dvorak this year, while playing on a checking line. The value might be close, if both teams are rebuilding, but that doesn't seem like an all-in move for WSH. No telling whether Dvorak develops into someone you trust on defensive zone draws or penalty killing.

Dvorak's contract might be good but someone else on here claimed Arizona is short on cash to make payroll this year and needs to shed salary, so saving 1M doesn't seem like a big deal to them. Protas and a 2nd makes sense, even if Protas might be NHL ready after doing okay in the KHL this year.
