I get it... Ottawa with all their Cap space seems like a logical place to dump contracts, but they just let Duclair go for nothing because his contract MIGHT be bigger than they like.

So there is no way that the Senators would make this trade. No matter how you see the value lining up!

Agreed, Sens owner won’t spend money. Just a way to get top talent with a 1 year pain contract. That C depth with Krebs would be awesome to go with their young D.
