Kahun won’t be close to that amount with 20% escrow and a high demand player that can play anywhere in the lineup, fantastic possession stats, etc.
The guy with comparables is easily a 3 million dollar player. His agent will want more unless the term is longer. Long term low aav would be the only option for Pittsburgh to get aav under 3.

I don't think the Pens have any interest in Kahun. Sullivan grew increasingly annoyed with his lack of defensive play. Kahun even made mention of this after the trade. Also, Koivu is pretty much a below replacement level player at this point in time. He probably isn't worth an offer. I would like to see them sign Simon again though. Im a big fan.

I agree, he's really good at chasing down at pucks and can play anywhere in the lineup. Wish he had just a tad more offensive spark though. He could play on 3rd line, and help feed McCann the puck, who will hopefully come into his talent this year.
