Honestly the oilers have enough d-depth in the org that signing an older 7th D will just get in the way of the young guys IMO

Some of them have to clear waivers and some of them need to play 25 minutes a night to continue their development, not be a 7th D

I disagree, not every dman we have is going to be top 4 and guys like laggeson and samukorov will be tweeners for bit and until the Oilers know what the deal is with Klefbom's health, I doubt the Oil sign a 7th d when they have so much depth. Only so many guys can play big mins with the Condors.

Maybe, not sure what the deal would take however, I think he would fit in great with the sens.

Samorukov is certainly not at all ready for the NHL and Laggesson will have to clear waivers

Was merely an example, we have no idea who will be ready come time for training camp. Not saying they will breakout but then again no one say Bear being a top 4 dman this early either. Oil will wait and see what they have before signing anyone else. Otherwise how do you explain them letting Benning go if they didnt want to see if one of their young guys could seize the opportunity. Not saying they wont sign a 7th but I doubt it will happen till training camp. Thanks for the chat, have a great day!
