Toews trade value is fair, but he said he's not leaving Chicago. Kane trade value is no where near enough. You FLA needs to add a minimum of another first. I can't see Kane or Toews getting traded right now.

3 years left at $10.5M for Toews. Trading Strome and Smith does clear $9M for a year(if Strome gets $4.5-$5M), but Toews is 32. He is still very good but who knows if he ages poorly next 3 years. Chicago would need to retain $1-$2M on it. Also, can’t really make the trade where it FORCES JG to trade Buch and get no value for him.
