I guess VGK still need to shed cap, but if they lose Martinez, their D after that top pairing isn't good enough. I wonder if they do shop anymore D.

Yeah it just doesn't seem likely that Vegas would want to part with Martinez with Schmidt gone, I don't really like this trade for the Jets either.

Vegas doesn't need to shed any more cap. They will move Glass up and down from the minors until their final number is below 81.5 million. They did something similar last year. Anytime there was an off day, they sent Hague, Roy, and Glass to the minors for the cap savings.
