While I like Danault, he is not worth that. That 2021 is probably a top 5 pick and Tatar is a UFA next year so, the trade is Mantha and a top 5 pick for Danault .

Yeah I'm not too worried about it, I know they'll get a deal done.
Just hopefully then these Mantha trades people post will be done with.

Another Wing's fan pointed out that Bertuzzi's arbitration might be planed to open up the 2nd buyout window and with the addition of Namestnikov there is no reason to keep Neilson.

I heard that as well, it wouldn't surprise me honestly, the buyout isn't terrible, the next two seasons the team isn't desperate for cap, and the extra two years is very minimal cap hit. Plus that fits the idea that the team can have players play the same role for less money.
And if arbitration gives Bert a one year deal then I believe he will still be an RFA at the end of it. (I haven't double checked that though.)

With a Neilson buyout it will be more expensive in The 2021-22 season but I think its about the roster spot and trying to get players that are going to be around for a while into those spots right asap. All you have todo is file to open the 2nd window. The article below explains it very clearly.

Second buyout window.

Yeah and in the 2021-2022 season I believe that there still should be more than enough cap space to sign any players, RFA or UFA that we need to. I think Hronek is the only RFA that will get a significant pay raise starting that year.
I agree it seems more about getting other players in.
Oh thank you very much, I did not realize that the player doesn't actually need to go all the way to the arbitration hearing, just file for it. Thanks for clarifying that for me.
