Initial Creation Date: Oct. 16, 2020
Published: Oct. 16, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Hopefully this is where they land.

I know I am over the Cap, but it's a 26 man roster. Bought out Moore.

They are about 110K under with 23 man roster.

Ritchie, Halak and Kuraly could all be moved to clear space for Cheaper options (Vladar/Frederic/McKegg)

They would leave Bjork, Hoffman, or smith exposed to expansion as well as one two of their LD

Protecting:
88 - 37 - 63 - 13 - hoffman, kase, bjork (Smith exposed)

What about moving Rask instead of Halak ?

Rask to the Avs for Grubauer and a pick ?
Split 50/50 between Halak and Grubauer. Next offseason look for a goaltender on UFA market.
You also save more money for the deadline, to add a player like Palmieri

I don't hate the idea, but I think Rask is better than he gets credit for, so the value would need to be there. Also - they don't need palmieri... they need LD.

Their top 9 is set as it is, plus they might be adding Hoffman.

Smith and Kase have both been added to Wing group since last year. Bjork is getting better.

First, it’s a bad notion. Rask was a vezina finalist for a reason.

Second, he said he would retire if traded. Basically means they can’t trade him.

Yes I know they don't necessarely need player like Palmieri, but bruins always like to add scoring help on a last year deal at deadline.
I think about Coyle, Johansson, Nash, Stempniak

But for sure, they'll need to add a LHD if they want to compete in the playoff. Butcher from NJ, Nuutivara from FLA, Zadorov from CHI can all be good option.
